Deep Sewer Survey
DEEP SEWER SURVEY
The client brief was to survey a deep sewer, where the build up of toxic gases prevented manned entry, and the flow of water was too strong for CCTV. A 3D model was made from all of the captured data, to assess the state of repair.
Six drone flights were carried out in the early hours of the morning, when the flow in the sewer could be reduced allowing access. We had to descend the drone some 14 metres, using a range extender to ensure control could be maintained, with a survey area of over 30 metres along the sewer.
