Fort Augustus Locks
UAV365 surveyed Fort Augustus locks using the Trimble X9 laser scanner. Topographic data was collected with a Trimble S7 total station along each of the 6 canal lock gates, spanning 300m in length. Control in the form of fixed black and white targets was also collected with the total station, enabling the laser scanning data to be geolocated. The final result features a fully geolocated point cloud of the locks with an overlaid topographic CAD drawing, showcased in the video below.
