Sinkhole survey
We investigated a newly formed sinkhole of unknown size or status to understand the topography of site, the volume of the hole, and determine the cause of collapse.
Using photogrammetry, the drone survey was the only safe way to examine the sinkhole. Our client used this data to understand the cause of the collapse, plan remediation works, and take accurate measurements.
We could calculate elevation profile data from anywhere in the 3D data, which allowed measurement across the site and led to a greater understanding of the work needed.
